SEO Copywriting Vancouver
Words That Bring Calls
SEO Copywriting for Vancouver Contractors
Website copy that helps Vancouver contractors show up in search, earn trust fast, and turn visitors into calls. Bundled with SEO and web design, written by someone who hired licensed contractors for 14 years.
Most contractor websites have one of two problems. Either the copy was written by a copywriter who made it sound great but did not optimize for search, so the page never ranks. Or it was written by an SEO who stuffed keywords everywhere, so it ranks but the page sounds stiff, generic, and unconvincing.
SEO copywriting solves both. I write contractor websites for Vancouver and the Lower Mainland that rank in Google’s local pack and organic search, AND convert the visitors into phone calls. And because more homeowners now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude for contractor recommendations, I also write copy that’s structured to be cited by AI search tools, not just indexed by Google. Bundled with SEO and web design as one project, or as a copywriting-only engagement when that is what you actually need.
Great Copy on a Page Nobody Sees Is Wasted Writing
Beautiful copy that does not rank gets zero readers. Keyword-stuffed copy that ranks gets readers but no calls. SEO copywriting bridges both, because the goal is not traffic. The goal is calls.
- 80% of local searches result in a phone call or visit within 24 hours.
- Visitors decide in seconds whether your copy is worth reading.
- Google rewards pages that match search intent, not just keywords.
- Property managers read your copy looking for trust signals: licensing, insurance, response times.
- Vancouver homeowners search differently than Toronto or Calgary homeowners.
Copy that reads well but does not rank costs you traffic. Copy that ranks but does not convert costs you calls. SEO copywriting prevents both.

Get a Free Copy AuditWhy Most Contractor Website Copy Fails
I have read hundreds of contractor websites in Vancouver. Most fail for one of three specific reasons, and once you see the pattern, it is hard to unsee.
- Jargon nobody actually searches for: “Comprehensive HVAC solutions” or “premier residential electrical services” sound professional but nobody types those words into Google. Real customers search “furnace repair Vancouver” or “panel upgrade in North Vancouver.” The copy needs to match how customers actually search.
- Generic templates that say nothing: “Quality service since [year], serving [city] and surrounding areas.” Every contractor website says this. Property managers and homeowners cannot tell why they should call you instead of the next four companies that say the same thing.
- Missing local relevance and trust signals: Vancouver homeowners care about specific neighbourhoods, strata buildings, BC licensing, and WorkSafeBC coverage. Templated copy mentions “the Lower Mainland” once and calls it local. That is not local copy. That is a national template with the city name swapped in.
- Invisible to AI search tools: A growing share of Vancouver homeowners now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude “who’s a good electrician in North Vancouver” instead of searching Google directly. Most copywriters have no idea how to write content that AI tools will quote and cite. Your copy needs to be structured for AI extraction, not just Google rankings.
Good SEO copywriting fixes all four. Real keywords. Specific positioning. Local relevance. AI-citable structure. And it sounds like a human wrote it, not a robot.
Three Services. One Bundle. One Person.
Copywriting works best when it is connected to the technical SEO foundation underneath and the web design wrapping around it. Most contractors hire me for the bundle. Standalone copywriting is also available if that is what you need.

Tell Me What You NeedHow SEO Copywriting Works
A simple 4-step process. The discovery interview is the heaviest lift on your end. After that, I do the work and you review.
A 60-minute call where I ask about your business, your customers, the questions you get most often, and what makes you different. I record the call (with permission) and pull quotes directly into the copy. This is the most important step.
I research what your Vancouver customers actually search for. Not what marketing agencies think they search for. Real terms with real volume, mapped to the specific pages and content I will write.
I draft every page, share it with you, and refine based on your feedback. Two rounds of revisions are standard. You see the work as it develops, never weeks of silence then a surprise reveal.
If you are bundling with my SEO and web design, I publish the copy directly to your site and monitor rankings. If standalone, I deliver clean handoff files (Google Docs or Markdown) and a publication checklist for whoever is implementing.
Ready to start with the discovery call?
Book a Discovery CallWhy I’m Different from Other Vancouver Copywriters
Your success is my success. Period.
I’m Bahar Soleimani, founder of LiftUpDigital. The same person who interviews you is the one writing your copy. No outsourced writers. No junior staff filling in keywords. The voice you hear on the discovery call is the voice you read on your homepage.
Most copywriters write what sounds good. SEO copywriters often write what ranks. I write copy that does both, plus something most copywriters cannot do at all.
14 years in property management means I spent over a decade hiring contractors. I know the questions property managers ask, the trust signals they look for, and the language that makes them call you instead of the next contractor on the page. A law degree means I write compliance-aware copy for licensed trades. Warranty language, “licensed and insured” claims, certification references, BC consumer protection requirements. These matter more for contractors than for unregulated services. Most copywriters miss them entirely.
And I write for AI search. Most copywriters in Vancouver still write for Google rankings only. I structure content so it is easier for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude to understand, quote, and cite when Vancouver homeowners ask AI tools “who’s a good plumber in my area.” This is a small but rapidly growing share of contractor lead flow, and almost nobody else is writing for it.
That means:
- One person on your project. Always.
- Real interviews, real quotes, real voice.
- Copy that ranks AND converts, not just one or the other.
- AI-citable content for ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude.
- Compliance-aware language for licensed trades.
Best fit for
Vancouver and Lower Mainland contractors, trades, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, custom home builders, locksmiths, and property service businesses with 1 to 10 employees who want website copy that ranks AND converts.
Not a fit if
You want copy delivered in 48 hours, you want me to write copy without a discovery interview, or you want SEO copywriting without any concern for whether the copy actually persuades anyone.
What I Write for Vancouver Contractors
Different page types serve different jobs. Most contractor websites need a mix. Here are the most common copy types I write, all aligned to specific search intent and conversion goals.
Homepage Copy
Your homepage has 5 seconds to answer “who, what, where, why you.” I write it to land all four immediately and route visitors to the right next step.
About Page Copy
The About page is where Vancouver homeowners and property managers decide whether to trust you. I write it to build credibility without sounding like a brag sheet.
Service Pages
One page per service offering. Each optimized for the specific keywords your customers search and structured to drive a phone call or contact form submission.
Neighbourhood Landing Pages
City and neighbourhood-specific pages targeting searches like “plumber Kitsilano” or “electrician North Vancouver.” High intent, often less competitive than broad city-wide keywords.
SEO Blog Content
Long-form content answering the questions customers ask before hiring. Built to rank for informational searches and pull readers toward your service pages.
Google Business Profile Copy
Your GBP description, services, posts, and Q&A copy. Often the first thing Vancouver customers read about you. Worth getting right.
AI-Citable Content
Copy structured to be quoted by ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude when homeowners ask AI for contractor recommendations. Schema-aligned, fact-rich, AI-extractable.

Tell Me What You NeedFrequently Asked Questions
What is SEO copywriting and why does my contracting business need it?
SEO copywriting is website and content writing that does two things at once: ranks in Google for the searches your customers actually make, AND converts those visitors into phone calls.
Most copywriters do one or the other. Contractor copywriting needs both because rankings without conversions waste traffic, and great copy on a page that does not rank wastes the writing.
How much does SEO copywriting cost for a Vancouver contractor?
Most contractor copywriting projects fall between $1,500 and $4,000 depending on page count and scope. A homepage and 3 service pages typically runs $1,500 to $2,500. A full website (homepage, About, services, neighbourhood pages, blog content) runs $3,000 to $4,000.
Bundle pricing is available when copywriting is combined with SEO and web design as a single project. I quote flat-rate, not hourly.
How is SEO copywriting different from regular copywriting?
Regular copywriting focuses on persuasion. SEO copywriting balances persuasion with technical optimization: keyword research, search intent matching, semantic structure, internal linking, and on-page elements like H1s, meta descriptions, and schema markup.
The result is copy that ranks AND converts, not one or the other.
Do I have to bundle copywriting with SEO and web design?
No. Copywriting is available as a standalone service, though most contractors hire me for the full bundle because doing them separately wastes time and money.
If you only need copywriting, that is fine. If your existing site has solid bones and just needs better words, I can rewrite it without rebuilding.
How long does SEO copywriting take?
A homepage plus 3 to 5 service pages typically takes 2 to 3 weeks from kickoff to first draft. Full sites take 3 to 6 weeks.
The timeline depends on how quickly you can do the 60-minute discovery interview and review drafts. The first draft is the heaviest lift on my end. Revisions are fast.
Will I see ranking improvements from new copy alone?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. New copy on an existing site with a solid SEO foundation can rank within 60 to 90 days. New copy on a site with technical SEO problems will not rank well no matter how good the writing is.
That is why I almost always recommend bundling copywriting with SEO. The two work together.
Why hire a Vancouver-focused copywriter?
Vancouver homeowners and property managers use specific local language. They search for neighbourhoods (Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, North Vancouver), they care about strata buildings and rental properties, and they evaluate contractors with BC-specific criteria like WorkSafeBC coverage and TSBC certification.
Generic copywriters miss this. I write for the Vancouver market specifically, with 14 years of property management experience hiring Vancouver contractors.
Do you write copy for trades that have legal compliance requirements?
Yes, this is one of my specialties. My law degree informs how I write copy for HVAC contractors, electricians, plumbers, gas fitters, and other licensed trades.
Compliance-aware copy avoids misleading claims, handles warranty language carefully, and protects you from liability while still being persuasive. This matters more for licensed trades than for unregulated services.
What is AI-citable copywriting and why does it matter for contractors?
A growing share of homeowners and property managers now ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude for contractor recommendations instead of searching Google directly.
AI-citable copywriting structures your content so these AI tools can more easily understand, quote, and cite your business when relevant. This means clear factual claims, schema markup that AI can read, named expertise areas, and quotable comparison statements.
Most copywriters in Vancouver are not writing for AI yet, which means contractors who do this now are better prepared as AI search grows. Learn more about AI search optimization for contractors.
